Did it
I wasn't sure about it, and yes they are so many good watches out there like Rolex, Omega, IWC and so on
but in the end, it was an home run for me :D

I got the Breitling Navitimer (The one with the 41.8 MM and), black and white dial, with the (VERY NICE) bracelet and the non numric version
Just like this one
Image

It sure is an amazing watch!
I usually pick up more "BRUTE FORCE" watches, big, bold and heavy (like Omega PO chrono or Breit Chrono and so on)
But this is one cool piece :!:

The white edge of the dial makes it appear even larger on my hand, it sit nice and low, and I almost don't feel it there with the weight

As for accuracy and so on, well only time will tell I guess:)

The only thing that strange that I can't lock the crown, but I will get use to it.

So
Did I make a good choice ? and will it serve me with honor for years to come ?

That's a very nice and classic choice you have made there, BreitEdi. Congratulations!

Nice choice!

I'm going to get myself a black face Navitimer with leather strap at some point. For me the Navitimer is the most aesthetically pleasing Breitling of all. I don't mind owning more than one  Now if only they still made the Olympus.

Classic for sure. Throw on the black strap and you have the nationally advertised piece Travolta wears.

Sorry, Navitimer Olympus. The Montbrillant version doesn't have the je ne sais quoi of the Navitimer

It should be perfectly reliable, but you can't really treat Navi's as roughly as you may treat an Aeromarine model purely due to the finer construction of the Navi. Treat it well though and it'll keep going for years.

An excellent choice, congratulations. I picked up the same model earlier this year, love it. I'd be interesteded in hearing how accurate it is. Mine is 7 seconds fast per day, which bugs me, but I can live with it.
