I was shopping in King Of Prussia Mall this past weekend and walked into the Montblanc Store. The lady immediately said to me, "what kind of watch is that Sir"? I replied, "a Breitling Navitimer World". She said oh ok...."We own that brand"!

I honestly didn't know that so I couldn't give a comment except for a nod lol

REALLY!???? Does Montblanc own Breitling?

Since when? Or is this lady full of $hit?

:yeahthat (on your last comment  )

Besides, if they owned Breitling, how come she didn't even recognize one?

Breitling is still an independent, although owned by the Schneider family since 1978 rather than the Breitling family.

Isn't Montblanc under the LV group? Or am I way off on that?

And it will stay so for the foreseeable future as it has been said many times by his VP and Mr. Schneider himself.

I've been to that shop a few times. Nice product, but never impressed with the staff. Too bad the other ADs have closed in that mall so there is only..............Tourneau.

I tried on a Navi 01 LE at the Torneau in Chicago this weekend and the salesperson said, unprompted, " the water resistance is like 300 meters or so". OYE!

That store has been like night and day for me. I'll go in one day when I'm down there and I'll get someone very friendly and the next time I'll get someone who is so rude it's hard to imagine they sell anything.

HAHAHA. 300-30, what's the difference? She had the numbers right, just not the quantity.

Drives me crazy when I go in a store, any store, and I know more about the product than the sales staff.
Best health, Frank

i agree a couple years ago i was shopping for a rolex and was just outside of Chicago well long short the AD had middle aged salesmen who didn't have a clue about any of the details of their watches, and a block down was a pawn shop with a 25 year old who could tell you the history, of the watches, metal and movements. would think that ADs would insist on product education in some sorts
