Just wanted some confirmation on a small matter.

I'm a bit OCD and like to set the time exact.
I use Timeanddate.com which is useful because it shows seconds, and I try to get my watch to run in sync with this. Also helps me to determine if the watch is keeping COSC time.

Do I set the time a minute faster than the actual time?
For example, real time is 10:02:15, I set the time on my watch to 10:03:15 because I'm thinking that when the seconds hit 00, the watch will begin again at 10:03:00 for a full rotation, rather than change to 10:04:00.

The minute and second hands aren't in perfect synch, so there's no guarantee that the minute hand will exactly be on the minute mark when the seconds are at 00, and besides there is play in the movement so it will be tough to get things exactly matched.

Specifically for your issue, no - set it to 02 - the minute hand doesn't tick it moves constantly so 45 seconds after setting it as per your example it will be 3/4 of a minute mark further advanced.

I always set my watch to 00 seconds, and align the minute hand so that it is as close to exactly on the minute mark as possible. Then I start it exactly in accordance with the actual time, rather than deliberately fast or slow. As Roff mentioned, there is a bit of play in the movement, so it's hard to get it exact, but it is easier to align at 00 seconds than to try to guess where the minute hand would be at, say, 15 seconds.

The one watch I have to set a minute in advance with seconds at 00 is the Navitimer Airborne. This really threw me for a while, making me either think I was in error or the watch had a fault. It appears that the seconds has to go through a full rotation before the minute hand starts its movement. I'm now used to this 'feature' which didn't alter after its service and may be common to all B33 movements?

What I meant was,on the SA is it the same as Deadred's Navi Airborne?

I’m also quite sad and stop the second hand on 0 and set the minute hand to the exact minute for the time signal. My Breitling 13 seams to be happy with the minute hand on the mark and then moves immediately in sinc with the second hand, as I think does another non-Breitling ETA7750. Both my Breitling 17s need to be set just slightly ahead, about ¼ minute ahead of the minute mark. My Breitling 35 is awful. It needs to be set about3/4 of a minute ahead of the mark to keep it in sinc with the second hand. So the minute hand doesn’t move for about 45 seconds after the watch is started after setting the time.

I honestly thought this might be a fault with the movement, and as I had another issue with the movement a while ago, wondered if it may be best to sell it!
