Well, I posted pics of the new seawolf a few weeks ago, and it was on a diverpro. just came across pics of it on stainless steel...I really like it! I can't tell if its brushed or polished (i think it looks like brushed)..really nice, breitling could use some more brushed watches..Thoughts?

Not into it, looks like they are using a similar style of dial indice as Rolex, they slapped an Avenger Skyland bezel on it, and used the stencil numbers, personally, I think they killed a beautiful watch. This trend of stencil numbers on everything and switching classic styes of watches has me concerned.

I think it looks really good, although if its brushed, it will practically be a steelfish.

I agree that they should not have changed the classice look. The triangle at the 12 o'clock marker, the square calendar at 3 o'clock, then the 2 rectangular markers at 6 and 9 (too large) make the whole thing look too "messy" to me. It's too bad they used the stencil numerals, they should have kept that exclusively for the Skyland, where it started, it gave that model a uniqueness. Not impressed with this model at all.
Cheers,
Carl

It's odd because it's certainly my kind of watch and yet it somehow doesn't work for me. I adore my yellow-dial Seawolf and I fell in love with the Skyland (esp the stencil numbers) but I agree with Carl. The combination just doesn't seem right. At least it means I don't have to add it to my wishlist!!!

Personally I like it.

I always found the original Seawolf a bit ordinary-looking in terms of dial styling, even on the yellow.

However, I can confirm that it is indeed brushed, as I saw some very good and very large publicity pictures at my AD recently. That's a bit of a downer to me as I really like polished Breitlings...... and yeah, it does mean it's basically just a deeper-going Steelfish.

I like it and certainly welcome the introduction of a stainless seawolf.

I dont like it very much. When I first heard they were making a stainless steel version of the Seawolf I was thrilled, to say the least. The only downside to the old Seawolf was the fact that it was made of titanium. However I'm very disappointed with the new version. I don't like the stencil numbers and I don't like the big rectangular markers, just look like they don't below there. They should have kept the old dial design (maybe cleaned it up a bit by removing some of the writting) and just updated the material from titanium to stainless steel. Then it would have been a killer! I'm gonna hang on to my old titanium Seawolf, that for sure.

I think that last picture of the black dial on rubber looks the business actually. Very rugged.

Needs a bit of polishing though!

I was watching a documentary the other day about giant constructions, and the topic was about building giant submarines, and in one of the scenes a marine was wearing the exact seawolf with yellow dial while he was on duty. it looked so awesome in action and it reflects how these timepieces are very reliable as the man was counting on it knowing that he is a member of the central command unit :D

excellent photos and i would say they are brushed.

I handled a new SS SeaWold while picking up a Ocean racer strap for my SkyLand. The sides of the case are polished and the top portion is brushed much like the Steelfish. Its a very nice piece but I prefer the Ti version.
