I've been looking for a couple of straps, one of them being a Blue Croc strap. I've seen that the Breitling one is around $5-600. I've found handmade ones that look just as nice for around $200. This is for my Super Avenger. What do you guys think, from your personal experiences. What makes the breitling ones better, if they really are better at all ? Thabks for you input !

Thanks for the tip, but I have a good source for straps. My question was concerning the quality of Breitling straps.

Breitling strap quality is exceptional, with the notable exception of ABP I've never found anything as good - the quality of the leather, the stitching, the padding - it's just very good quality.

Thank you. That's what I was wondering.

I think the JLC straps are just as nice if not nicer.

Breitling make the nicest straps in their price category, bar none! Some of the higher end brands, like AP and JLC, male straps that are as nice or slightely nicer, but at 2-3 times the price. Breitling is one brand who I always keep on their OEM straps, as opposed to say Panerai

That's interesting to note considering that I recently purchased a PAN 219L

My ABP Custom UTC Deployant Ostrich was a third of the price of a Breitling Croc (not that Breitling UK can sell you a Croc UTC Deploy).

Could someone please post a link/url for the JLC site?

Thanks

Just to echo the comments already made - Breitling OEM straps are as good as any out there IMO, and even more so the price as the likes of AP are considerably more.

That said, they are still a lot of cash (croco especially), but they are very hard to beat in terms of quality.

I also agree that ABP Paris make the best quality aftermarket straps in the Breitling style, so if you want to save a few pounds/dollars, or want a different type of unusual leather, they are definitely the way to go.
