Post subject:  Question for Experienced Breitling Buyers

Hello everyone,

I just joined this site and am trying to jump on the Breitling wagon. I'll be honest, though, I don't want to pay $5000 on it. Is it possible to find a second-hand Breitling (preferably, Super Avenger) for around $1,500?

After I purchased the watch, I wanted to add a diamond bezel.

What do you all think? I am complete delusional? Or, is this a possibility?

Thank you,
Dennis

Can you get a used Breitling for $1,500 - yes, will it be a Super Avenger - not unless the watch has issues.

You aren't going to get a 'Super Avenger like' watch for that money either.

The best thing to do is take a look at completed Breitling sales on eBay for around your budget and see if there are any Breitlings that you like.

Steelfish, Superocean, or Colt. Those have similar design characteristics but no chrono and no where near as big and dominating as the Super Avenger. They can all be had on the pre-owned market for under $2k

Closest is the Avenger - effectively the same watch but smaller.

Keep it real, skip the diamond bezel and use that money to buy the model you want.

And can't get one of those easily for that price without something being wrong.

You may be able to find a discontinued used Chrono Avenger (Ti) for around $2,000+ on the sales forums, otherwise the non chrono models in the Aeromarine line would be next best bet.

I agree. Skip the bling and put the money towards inflating your budget.

Yep.. put the money into the watch, there's always time for a diamond bezel later.

Hello All,

Thank you for your insight.

What do you all think of this one:

Breitling Titanium Avenger Seawolf E73360

Any thoughts?

Thank you,
Dennis

Nice watch. Its a quartz model though, and its titanium so its not shiny like the Super Avenger.
