It seems that when I manually wind my Chronomat Evolution, just to recharge the power, I can turn the stem counterclockwise and hear it wind, or clockwise and hear it wind. When i turn it counterclockwise it is a little smoother than when I turn it clockwise. i am concerned because i read that it is supposed to turn clockwise to manually wind.
is something wrong with my watch? it did go in for a cleaning, and had the "power reserve oscilitating weight" replaced but do not know if anything was changed.....so i turn to you....
thoughts.....

It will rotate in both directions, it will only wind clockwise. There is more resistance because the keyless works is transmitting power to the mainspring - perfectly normal.

All Evos had the same sub dial layout, but there are many different dial designs - colours, arabics vs. romans vs. batons, etc.

Can't see much from that tiny photo - what's the number on the back - starts A13?

That's an Evo - I don't see a problem. I can't really see the pictures because of size, but are you saying that the subdials are different? I don't meant different numbers, but rather not 30 minutes at 12, 60 seconds at 9 and 12 hours at 6????

The numbers can be different - see variations here - http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... der_3.html

The one that is less like yours is more common, but not really a big deal.

That means mine is better!
:uplaugh:
any idea where i can find what a preowned watch like mine would run? I am looking to trade and was wondering what i can expect for mine....not sure what I want yet, but I do not like the riders on my watch and I am not a big fan of the bezel moving either....
Thanks for all the help!

The first picture - the one not like yours - appears to be the standard silver with batons. The one like yours is white with Arabic numerals. They're both standard offerings for the Evo. If you go to the Breitling website, you can see all the dial offerings for that model. You will see there are a lot of varieties.
