hi all new to breitling watches and this forum when changing the date on my watch i wind it past the 12 postion then back to 8 can you confirm to me if this is correct,thanks

As it doesn't have the quick set date, yes. You may need to advance it as far as 2 or 3am, and probably only have to go back to about 9 or 10pm.
