Hey guys my bentley motors went from feb 28 to feb 29 and not march 1st, is this gonna be a problem? I went ahead and rolled the time over until it went to the 1st, am I gonna be in trouble? |

The watch doesn't know what month it is. You will find the same on a 30 day month. It will still go on to read 31st. Just be careful not to adjust the date in the danger zone. |

What if I did roll the time over until it was the first during the danger zone. I did it right after midnight. I totally slipped!! |

If you used the quickset date or wound time backwards then you could have problems. Best way to check is to advance the date through a full month (outside of the danger zone of 8pm - 3am) and if the date changes smoothly and centres in the window then consider yourself lucky. |

so I noticed the crown is tight on the winding stage, is this from my late night mistake? Or is this a result of a fully wound watch? |

How tight? Just a little more resistance, or does it feel like something is jamming or slipping? So who else here (like me) spent the day at work signing documents and dating them 29 February, before remembering to adjust the watch? |

I don't want to force it but it definitely feels tighter. It's working fine, all the hands move properly. |

Give Roff's suggestion a try: use the quickset to change the date through a whole month (as long as it's not between 8pm and 3am wherever you are now, of course). If that goes smoothly you can breathe easy. |

Let the watch wind down overnight and see if it still feels just as tight. It's unlikely to be due to the date change, but I guess it's theoretically possible. |

I roll through an entire month earlier and the days flowed just fine, so that's good news. |

To the OP - remember your watch won't "know" April only has 30 days either. ![]() |
