Post subject:  Chronomat B01 too heavy ?

Hi. I have a 2010 chronomat B01 but find it lives in the safe as it just too heavy. So I am thinking of going for a Navi B01 or normal Navi. Am I likely to find this more comfortable ?
Maybe a stupid question as it's a personal preference issue but it would be good to know if anyone else has any experience of this ?

If a Chrono B01 is "Too Heavy" you need to switch to another watch, another line of watches and another FORUM. We wouldn't want you to have a sore wrist or anything SERIOUS like that. Get a plastic piece of garbage at a drug store for $20 and walk away with comfort because if you can't appreciate the WEIGHT and SUBSTANTIAL presence of a LING that is not even a FULL LING you shouldn't be wearing LINGS at all. "TOO HEAVY" Give me a f--k--g BREAK !

It's interesting, that is how I picked up my BB for such a good price. The guy had always dreamed of one, bought it and unfortunatly developed RSI.
Sad for him (but he was happy to see it go to a good home).

Unless you have a medical condition do try to persevere you do get used to the gravitas.

Most get used to Lings heft. After a while you´ll start to even earn for it.
If its on a bracelet you could try and change it to a strap which might be enough and isn´t that expensive to try?

I've personally never found any watch too heavy, and that includes SA's on the bracelet, and my tungsten Lum Tec. I just forget I even have them on. The Chronomat B01 isn't an overly large or heavy watch IMO, so I'd suggest persevering with it as I'm sure you'll get used to it in time. Otherwise you're going to be limited to titanium or (heaven forbid) plastic watches for ever.

Thanks guys... I have a number of watches including Breitlings Rolex's Omega's but there is something about the Chronomat B01 that I am not comfortable with... Maybe I will give it a chance and see if I get used to it or alternatively try a strap as someone mentioned above...

Maybe you're just finding the balance wrong on the Chronomat rather than the weight per se? In that instance it probably has more to do with your wrist shape and how a watch sits on it rather than the weight of the watch. If that's the case you probably won't ever get on with it. :| Still worth giving it a bit more of a chance though IMO.

I don't know I have had my Chronomat 01 LE since Dec. and can't wait to put it on every morning. I think you need to give it a chance bro.

You don't mention if it is on strap or bracelet, but if bracelet take a look at this article - it might help with comfort - http://www.breitlingsource.com/articles_bias.shtml

Face the facts YOU are not QUALIFIED to be a LING OWNER. Sell the damn thing and go back to the WIMPY watches and whatever else you do that makes you "comfortable"

I agree! I just bought a B01 and am happy as hell with it. When I wear it it let's me know I have a bad ass watch on, not some piece of crap. It's kind of like when I had my custom Harley, it reminds yothat you have a set of balls, not a vagina!!

What Breitlings Rolexs' and Omegas do you have? I can't believe that you consider the chronomat b01 "too heavy". If your rolex and omegas are on bracelets, there's not such difference in weight.
Yeah, it's a heavy watch (made of SS and solid SS bracelet). But you can't say it's "too heavy" comparing with the others that you have unless you compared with a cheap plastic digital watch.
