As promised previously my review of this incredible and significant timepiece is now available at

http://www.andrewmichaels.co.uk/amj/bre ... 1-a-review

Any feedback on the review and your own thoughts on the Navitimer 01 would be very welcome.

I apologise for the lack of write up on the Calibre 01 movement. This blog will be added by the weekend.

Nice work. You really did this classic justice with that review. It's hard to put into words that "special" feeling that a WIS has when putting on a classic on the wrist.

Very nice write up. It sounds as if you are a definite convert to the Navi 01!

Great review, I love the last pictures of the navi over the piano!
What I don't like about the navi 01 is the "all red" second hand.

Fantastic review Ricardo.
I've bought a few watches from Andrew and Sam but haven't had the pleasure if going to the shop yet, really must make the effort soon.
Will probably leave the debit card at home though!

Really an excellent review Ricardo, as always. I feel like I've gone through the same feelings - seemed very plain at first but is ultimately very specia. l

This might make me wait until the standard Navi 01 is available to get my next watch. Or better yet, pick up a pre-loved LE.

I was totally converted the minute I got to handle it and try it on.

I would definitely buy the one I reviewed if I did not already have my gold Chronomatic 24hr LE.

Indeed JimBob.

They have so many desirable timepieces on their books.

In fact, I jokingly called Sam a git the other day because he keeps lending me watches to review that I immediately fall in love with and cannot afford :(

Seriously, though I feel very fortunate to be able to borrow all these amazing timepieces.

Thank You for Your kind words Ian.

You won't be dissapointed with the Navitimer 01.

I would recommend the latter of your options. The Sapphire exhibition caseback is almost worth the entrance feee on its own.

Excellent right up always Ricardo!

Funny how you were an immediate convert once trying it, whereas I was the opposite! I love it before I tried it on, but the size just really disappointed me. I totally agree with you that it's a fantastically made piece, with some truly excellent attention to detail, but after owning a 43mm Navi Olympus I was expecting it wear similar, but I just found it too small for my tastes. I think it may be due to the fact that the Olympus I had had a silver dial which always makes Navi's look bigger IMO.

But anyway, I digress - fantastic review again!
