Hi all.

I am new here and have a question, if someone has any advice or suggestions.

I bought my Breitling Aerospace "Repetition Minutes" at Selfridges in London in 1999. I has been working perfectly for 10 years.

About 6 - 8 months ago I took it back to Selfridges to get the battery replaced, and they sent it to Switzerland for this to happen. Ever since getting it back it the hands on the face are losing about 15 - 20 seconds a day, yet the digital time is perfectly accurate and does not lose any time.

I just spoke to the AD at Selfridges and they said I must take it in and they will send it off again, and I will have to pay for the repair... do you think this is right? The only time it was ever sent away, in perfect working order, was by the AD in Selfridges, and now it is "technically" broken...

Any advice on what to do would be great.

Thanks in advance,

Martin Calder

If it got a Breitling service, which is what it sounds like, you should get a one year warranty on the work. I'm a bit confused why it went to Switzerland rather than BUK in Tunbridge Wells, but either way it should be under warranty.
