A couple of great looking models aren't they. The 24 hour dial would be a nice wild card in anyone's collection.

I have always lusted over the display back Lemania's, but even the non-SE models are really interesting watches. Some of the older models with Tritium and that great patina are just plain amazing.

Then you have the LE Chrono Matic 24. In my eyes it is a much sportier watch with the dark bezel and larger case/lugs, but the subdials being the same color (blue or black) dresses the watch dial up a bit. No display back here, but instead you get the limited edition aspect (either 1000 or 250)

If you had to choose just one what would it be?

The Chrono-Matic for me.

I had a standard Cosmonaute and found it a little too small.

Chromatic for me, that's whi I bought one :-)
I think they are one of the best second hand bargains out there, picked up mine for £2000, with the stainless bracelet at less than a year old.

Hello,
I have an old 1809 cosmonaute watch but I baught a Chromatic LE with a blue face, limited to 250 pieces, perfect.
The Chrono-Matic 24H also features a Flyback mechanism. This additional function serves to launch successive timing operations without needing to stop, reset and restart the chronograph and it's very usefull for me sometimes.

Regards,

Challenger_fr

Great minds think alike and all that Alan.

Cheers!

Don't have to choose as I have both. :) But it's interesting that although both are 24 hour dials, they are configured oppositely. On the Cosmo the day starts at the normal "12"-position but with the Chrono- Matic it starts at the normal "6"-position.

I'll take the Cossie simply for one of the greatest Breitling used movements of the last 50 years.

Both are just amazing!!!!! There also seems to be no shortage of fan fare for the CMatic.

i do agree with the size issue mentioned regarding the Cossie. My Navi is great for work wear, but seems a bit fragile for more active wear.

However having both (and the Blue LE @ that) makes for a pretty sweet team. On an aside....have you ever tried a brown crocc on the blue Cmatic? If so how does it look?

I think Brown Croc on any dial works very well.

Sorry.....

There's no rubber on my chronomatic?
Which model has a rubber bezel?
