Hello,
It is with much happiness I am back with the Breitling brand!

I have been looking for a classic Navitimer for a while to no avail, but I just bought this classic - A steel SuperOcean.

I have stayed away from this forum as it has been mentioned many items - Archie42 does not even have a Breitling.

I AM BACK TO THE LING!
:yeahthat

I bought this watch cheap as it was missing the bracelet. It is a model A17390. Did this model only come with a bracelet or did it come on a strap also?

I paid US$1500- for the piece. Not sure how I did.... but hoping it is ok.

I have owned many Rolex Subs over the years.... and this Ling puts all Subs to shame!!!

:lingsrock:

PS - Pics to follow soon.

Nice work Archie. Such a great watch and a perfect size. I often wish that my wife had surprised me with a Superocean instead of a Colt.

I certainly hope that this doesn't mean you've given up on the Navi quest though.

And I certainly hope that you posted a similar comment on the Rolex forum. THAT should get them pretty fired up!

I very much doubt it.

Apart from the fact that he has been banned from TRF, when he was a member he tended to try to ingratiate himself there (and here) by posting effectively identical threads except for changes to his 'favourites', see here - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=6067

I try to avoid posting on Archie's threads wherever possible, but sometimes the lack of sincerity provokes a reaction.

Gee, Archie, I thought people who wore watches with ETA-based movements were chumps.

Why did Archie cross the road? Because all his imaginary friends left him. Seriously why does this guy continue to Goad all of us? I have been to numerous forums in my life ,and never quite come across a Character like this guy. I wonder if he answers his own posts.

Odd that. He made an entire video about how to buy watches and beat the seller/dealer at it's own game. Why he even drove around to car dealerships pretending to be a buyer so he could "learn" sales techniques.

Evidently the bank has repossesed the LV luggage and consequently poor old Archie has had a stroke.
