I'm trying to decide between the two. What do you guys think? My only hesitation with the Seawolf is that the black will be TOO black.

Also, in terms of purchase price and collectibility, which one is more difficult to obtain? I know the Code Yellow only ran 1000 pieces, whereas 2000 Blacksteels were made. Does that even really matter, as we're comparing two different models?

Anyone have both???

Thanks everyone!

Code Yellow without a moments hesitation for me, 'cause I hate surface coatings which immediately cancels out the Blacksteel models. And as you say, the Code Yellow is rarer too if that's important to you.

Code yellow for sure. It's funny. We had one at the store and it didn't sell. It was a numbers one and EVERONE who asked me about it wanted battons. So I got a baton one this week. I like the numbers one a lot though. THIS is the type of limited editions breitling should be doing. Not just black steeling everything in the damn lineup.

Red strike, code yellow and jet team are how it should be done.

Thanks.

I really like the clean look of the Code Yellow, and obviously the yellow contrast. Good point on the coating. But I still like the Seawolf.

In terms of price, are we in the same neighborhood for comparable mint condition (but used) watches? I didn't see the limited edition MSRP prices in the list.

Code Yellow all day every day for me. I made fun of it when it first came out but I really like it now.

Code Yellow. Stunning watch IMO. Also, no battery.

Very good point. I assume we're talking about the Seawolf Chrono here, which is quartz.

I've seen one 5 month old Code Yellow being sold on Ebay a few weeks ago for about $3.5K. It got relisted a couple of times before it got sold.

How did I miss this thread. I'd go with the Code Yellow, first, it's an auto and I think that it just looks better. I thought that they made 2000 though, 1000 polished and 1000 brushed. I have a Breitling price list from last year and it says 1000 of each on it. Either way I think the Code Yellow is definitely a nicer watch and probably would have been the one that I'd have gotten if a Blackbird didn't fly onto my radar.

Thanks everyone for the posts!

I decided to break rank and go with the Blacksteel. I got it today, and absolutely love it!! (I still really like the Code Yellow, too.)

I know! It's an amazingly cool watch. The yellow really makes it pop.

However, it'll be interesting to see how many heads turn on Monday when I show up to the "firm" with the Seawolf Blacksteel! :wowzers
