May be a dumb question, I'm guessing yes, but does the serial number on the caseback of a Breitling always match the number printed in the warranty booklet and on the COSC certificate. I've heard that the serial numbers printed in the book and on the certificate match the movement, but not sure if the caseback is always the same too.

They should all match. Movement, caseback, COSC certificate and warranty book.

So if you send it in for service and Breitling replaces the case, will the new case have the same serial number?

Well technically there is no serial number on the case - just the caseback, but if that is replaced then it will not have the same number - but that's not a big deal as long as you have the service paperwork.
