I have a navi world on brown croc which is my night dress watch
I am now looking for a day watch pool beach general day to day wear
I like the look of rubber straps as they can make a watch look more casual
I have a budget of £2500 or $ equivalent as may buy from the USA not sure what to buy thinking of another breitling but am open to other suggestions as well
I have a omega smp bond watch mid size but since getting the navi world have not worn it because think it looks to small
Your thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated to help me with my decision
Thanks in advance

Maybe a Steelfish or Avenger Seawolf on dive pro or ocean racer strap?

The Chronomat Evo has a 300 meters water resistance rating, so you're pretty safe with it in the pool :D However, when it comes to rubber straps, I personally think tool watches and dive watches look best with rubber. So I'd pick the SuperOcean Steelfish or Avenger Seawolf instead of the Chronomat.

I love my Steelfish . I wear it to work , to the gym , walking and playing with the dog as well as swimming . It is as tough as nails . I prefer my Chronomat and Cockpit for more formal occasions .

Another vote for the Steelfish. Years down the line I feel we are all gonna consider this watch an icon in breitling diver history.

I would recommend the old style SuperOcean, but then I am biased since I have one  You would probably be able to find a new one at an AD still. It is smaller than the Steelfish. Another option is the Avenger Seawolf, bigger than both. Both options fit in your budget. Here is a review that was just posted on the Avenger Seawolf http://blog.breitlingsource.com/2011/02/16/breitling-avenger-seawolf-automatic-watch-review/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+breitlingsource%2FWkOV+%28The+Breitling+Watch+Blog%29

:yeahthat
Although the polished finish perhaps isn't the most practical for everyday use. If you would prefer a brushed finish, the Steelfish is a great suggestion.

Or, just to throw a non-Breitling into the mix, an Omega Planet Ocean.

Steelfish, no Blackbird, no Seawolf, no ....... You can't go wrong with any from the line as long as the water resistant level is there. I wear which ever suits my needs for the day. I think they are all good every day use watches. I do think the Steelfish is the best bang for the watch. The Seawolf is noticably heavier. The Blackbird is noticably more comfortable. The Steelfish is probably the best all around.

If you like your Omega, except for the size, get the 45.5mm PO. It's a beautiful watch.

It was my second "nice" watch. My first was a Breitling Motors T but I thought it was too nice to wear every day. So I got the PO as a daily watch which was great. But even that was too nice to mess up at the beach or pools, especially trying to lug around 3 little boys and all the required accessories. Finally, I bought an Ocean7 LM-3 off the boards which is perfect as a beater watch.

I'm just gonna guess that you meant to write "or" up there.

Anyway, if you want a Breitling the Steelfish or the Seawolf are two outstanding choices. Personally, I wanted a bit more variety so I went with the Omega PO XL as a play type watch. If you don't wear the SMP what about selling it and getting a PO.

Chronomat Evo will do just fine while you're swimming, just make sure you have it water tested.
