at 7:13pm EST my SA stopped working! I tried winding it manually, nothing! It's not making any tickng sounds! I bought it from George in July 2009. Does my warranty cover this? I did not bang it and just wear it casually every day. I'm freaking out right now! Need guidance... |

Yes, you warranty covers your watch not working! Try the following after 40 full winds.... 1) Looking at the dial of the watch rotate it through 360 degrees (i.e. crown moves to 6, 9, 12 and back to 3). If it's out of beat that will get it going - and is safer than shaking it. 2) See if it starts when you start the chrono - that's not a solution but will help Breitling diagnose the potential problem. |

ok. I'm going Monday to Robinson's Jewelers in Somers Point NJ on Monday. Anyone have an ETA? Weeks? Months? Also, do they clean the watch like it was getting a full service or do they just fix the problem? BTW Roff, thanks for the quick reply. I guess the Boschett will be seeing alot more wrist time for a while. ![]() |

What is your concept of a warranty such that you have to ask if it will cover a complete breakdown of your watch within the warranted period? I mean, if a warranty won't cover that, really...what's the point? |

Of course i knew the watch should be covered, I was just looking for sympathy. I sent my watch out so now I'm just waiting to hear the word. This is why I need a second Breitling... I'm going through withdraw... |

Jefferson wrote: This is why I need a second Breitling... I'm going through withdraw... I can certainly sympathize with that. My CSO has a very minor issue I'll probably have fixed under warranty at some point, but the prospect of being without it for so long makes me resist sending it off. At any rate, I hope your issue works out OK. I'll be interested to hear how it's going, and what the cause of the trouble was. |

Jefferson wrote: I did not bang it and just wear it casually every day. We'll see if Breitling agrees. Not saying it's going to happen, but this is a common area of wiggling out of warranty repairs for watch manufacturers. Just be sure your case is free from big scratches before you send it in. Dings may be a problem....But fight them on it if it comes up... |

Dings may be a problem....But fight them on it if it comes up... I don't recall Breitling ever using this excuse, and can't find any references here to it either. Breitling have refused warranty repair for obvious water damage when the watch passes pressure tests, but not for dings. |
