.....and I'm sorry to all the owners of it, but I have to say it didn't grab me like I hoped it would. :|

The dial is beautiful and flawlessly executed, but the white date window really spoiled the party for me. But the biggest issue I found was the size, or more to the point, the fine construction along with the size. Considering it's pretty much in between the "standard" Navi and the Navi World in terms of size, I found it had much more in common with the standard Navi, which makes it too small for me. Bit of a shame really as I was hoping to snare a white dial non-LE (if one gets made), but now I don't think I will. I've just got to hope the Navi World case gets reused with the B01 movement or a variant of it (like the B01 GMT Alien mentioned today).

So...., beautiful looking watch (except for the white date window) but just a little too darn small for me.

Glad that you managed to get your hands on one, and I'm not surprised that you found it too small for your tastes - it certainly feels like a 'smaller' piece - it doesn't feel any larger on my wrist than any of my other (smaller) Navitimer pieces.

I would have preferred a black date window as well, but it doesn't bug me. Do you have the LE Chronomat 01 yet or is that still in progress?

Driver, I have to agree with you 100%. I just walked out of my AD about 20 minutes ago and I was completely and utterly disappointed with the Navi B01. I have never owned a standard Navitimer because I found it too small and the Navi B01 felt exactly the same to me. I was also really disappointing by the white date window, it did NOT flow with the dial at all. I am really bummed out about this because I had huge huge hopes for this watch and it was offered to me at a great great discounted but I can't see myself owning it. I do like the white gold Breitling emblem at 12'oclock, I really liked the red chrono hand, and I loved the display back, but the size and overall look didn't do it for me. I really thought the 43mm case would make it feel larger; I was very wrong. I feel kinda sick about it actually.

On another note, I finally got to try on the Yellow Abyss which I have been dreaming about daily and was so turned off by the size. It looked and felt like a 38 mm watch!!! I love the color and design, it's very sporty, I actually like the rubber bezel, but it felt so darn small that I can't see myself dropping any cash on it. Two big strikes on Breitling today!!! I finally got to see the Chronomat B01 LE and I liked it a lot. I wasn't a fan of it in photos but it's actually a very nice looking watch and the red accents aren't as bad as I thought. The brushed bezel completely changed the look of the watch for the better!

I guess my 6" wrists are finally paying off for once. It looks great on me! I do wish the color of the date window was different. As the subs and slide rule are a slightly pearl white color, I would like to see the the window match this instead of being bright white. Black would have also worked.

I think this piece has been so overhyped on this forum that it never had a chance of living up to expectations. When I first laid eyes on it, I as well was underwhelmed. However, after wearing mine for a little over a month now, it definitely grows on you and seems to become more elegant with time. We can pick the details apart all we want, but at the end of the day, the Navi 01 is a pretty special piece in Breitling's history. Also, I get more compliments on my Navi 01 than I've ever had on my Chronomat 01.

It wears like a standard 42mm watch in my opinion. Its feels small compared to the big watches that ive gotten used to, but I dont find it to be too small for its measurements.

Wow, mfserge, I knew you would eventually come over to the (dark) RED side! Just didn't think it would be so soon. There is still hope for you yet

I think I like the Chronomat 01 LE better than the Navi 01 LE, at least from the pics anyway.

My wrists aren't that big either so the Navi 01 is a great fit for me. I've had a few compliments on mine as well, but they often start out as people being curious as to why I would by a new watch that looks like an old one. But the attention to detail and especially the display back gets 'em every time ;-)

I'm very happy with mine!

That sucks that you don't like the Navi 01, I've never tried on a standard Navi let alone a 01, but I'm looking forward to the opportunity. I'm not too into huge watches, I think that my BB is big enough and even the PO wears smaller than it's 45mm in my opinion because it's a bit thinner than a lot of watches that size, so I think that I'll like the Navi 01. Anyway, just go get the Chronomat 01 LE :lingsrock:

Imagine all the backlash the redesign would have if they made it any bigger than it is now. It would be added to the red bezel crowd.

So many people love the old navi just the way it is. This watch just improves on a tried and true design. If you see one side by side it's easy to spot the difference in size. It's no World but it wasn't supposed to be.

If some one likes the old design, they're going to love this one.

I guess, I just wasn't one of those people and that's why I sold mine. The guy that bought it loves it though.

May I ask what the going rate seems to be for the new Navi B01?

I am about to spend $5,400CAD (tax in) on Saturday from an AD in Montreal for the Navi World black dial on the navi bracelet.

I love the look of the new 01, but as an owner of the older Navi at 41.5 mm, which I consider to be quite small, I am concerned that the size of the new 01 won't appeal to me that much.

With regards to specs, does anyone know the weight of the new Navi B01? Can't find this info on the Breitling site, or anywhere else for that matter

Thanks.

Darston

List is about $8,700 on bracelet, not sure on weight.

Yes I do! It is just gorgeous to me and I doubt I'll ever get tired of looking at the movement through the display back. And since we're on the subject, does anyone know if the standard navitimer bracelet will fit? Do I need different end links? Thanks again Pete.

I heard there is a Navi World B01 coming soon. I imagine they will do a LE with display back launch before it goes mainstream. This would be a good option for those of us who prefer the larger diameter watches.
