Hi.

I just ordered a new bezel for my sa and just want to know, is it safe to change it myself? Is it easy?

Can any jewlery store change it for me? I don't have an AD in the city.

If I was to do it myself, are there any specific precautions I should be looking for or is it as easy as unscrewing n screwing back on type a deal?

Thanks.

David

Fairly easy as long as you have the right sized screwdriver. Don't remove the screws completely unless you need them for the new bezel as they can be a pain to seat properly, and be careful of the spring that sits under the bezel.

Do you know if it's a Burgeon 1.6 or 1.4?

Thanks

I think that it's a Bergeon 160 (1.6mm) for the SA, but not 100%

I just installed a diamond bezel on my SA:
Image

I used a Burgeon 1.6... a 1.8 will also work, but 1.6 fits much better.

Very easy to change, took me less than 5 minutes to switchover.

One thing I would be aware of is the screw at the 1 'o' clock position doesn't come out so don't try and force screw it.
Unfortunately I learnt the hard way.
Tried to turn the screw but ended up making the screwdriver slip and going over the crystal  .
Luckily it didn't leave a scratch though.

How tight are the screws? And your saying the 1 o'clock screw is like a dummy?

1.82ct twin row.
I was going to go for a 2.8ct single row at first, but in the end went for the factory look.

The screws weren't tight at all tbh
As far as I can see the screw 1 o'clock holds the steel ring inside the bezel so doesn't actually turn.

Get some pics of your bezel once you've fitted it... would be good to see how the 2.8ct bezel looks as I'm not 100% decided on the twin row as of yet.

Mhou: I've just recieved my bezel today, and to be honest. I like yours better just the fact that it looks more cleaner because mine is a single row diamond, it dosent reach out towards the border or the bezel like yours does. Unless I go with a 4-5 ct. But than I'll look like a rapper or some sort lol. I'll try to post pictures once I put it on.

Kduong: to be honest. I just bought mine off eBay. Other than that, you'll probably have to get one custom made

If its anything like the usual, youll be able to see portions of the tops/bottoms of the numbers on the bezel as the are difficult to completely mill out. Its usually not too bad but generally a tell-tale sign of an aftermarket diamond bezel.

Best bet is ebay.
I got mine from Diamonds from Eden in NYC. Got a good price, and the seller was a pleasure to deal with.

A few mates of mine have had good service from Lioris Diamonds and Olympus Jewels.

I know what you mean about being a rapper with the 4-5ct.
When I was looking for bezels I was told that 3ct was the limit for the OEM bezel, and bigger and the diamonds had to be channel set in an aftermarket bezel.
Not an option for me as I like the marker tabs and imo the channel set bezels are OTT.

In the end I wanted the factory look so went for the twin rows instead.
Anyhows, get some pics up of yours 8)

OTT?? Yea I've been told the same that max is 3ct. But I do like the channel set alot better.
I've still been keeping in contact with the jeweler on eBay, he's going to email me a picture of a 4ct channel set with markers on still.

I will put pictures on here once I figure out how to do it and I'll put the one he emails me so both of us have an idea.

This doesn't appear to be the case anymore.
Anyone know why?
