if you happened to see last night's episode of pawn stars, you would have seen a man come in to sell his used emergency mission with all boxes and papers. the retail on this watch is $6,200 and he started the negotiation at $6,000. they ended up settling on $4,200 as a final price. not much room for the pawn stars to make any money if you ask me. what do you think? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkHNehtMkbQ |

Considering these go for $2700 on the forums, I think he overpaid. I was pretty surprised. |

I saw that episode last night as well...you beat me to the post! ![]() I was thinking the same thing! Considering Rick knows EVERYTHING about EVERYTHING and has owned Breitlings in the past, I thought he would know a little more about the price of the EM's. ![]() Makes me want to buy a used one...fly out to Vegas....sell it to him.... and pocket a K or two! ![]() ![]() |

Paid too much and, for being a Breitling guy, Rick should have known better. next time I'm Vegas maybe I should sell him a couple more. ![]() |

The people who buy watches here are very informed. Those who walk into their store ... aren't. The key is they got the watch for much less than it sells on the Strip NIB, so they can likely flip it for a profit. |

I thought he over paid for sure. I'm going to be in Vegas at the end of the month, and I already planned on stopping by the Gold and Silver Pawn Shop. I'll see if I can take a picture of the overpriced EM if it's still there. |

He totally overpaid for it in my opinion. If anyone saw the episode where he bought a JLC Atmos clock, they sold it on eBay last night for $700.....I was close to getting it! |

Saw that episode as well, that is a great show hands down! |

First, It's a TV show to entertain. Secondly, I'm sure he's already got buyers lined up for 90% of what he buys on the show. Finally, I've been in the business for 20 years - it's a very real possibility that Breitling set the whole thing up with the show. It's TV - it's not necessarily "real." |

All other things being equal, the solution with the least variables tends to be the correct one. It was a mercy buy for Chumlee. Sooner or later the brotha is going to get lost in the desert. |

Quote: it's a very real possibility that Breitling set the whole thing up with the show On a discontinued watch?!? I know Breitling has done some silly things of late, but paying Pawn Stars to showcase a discontinued piece seems an idea beyond silly. |
