All, I would really like to get my hands on a Windrider Headwind identical to the one pictured below, my question to you in the know is, where would be a good place to start looking and what should I expect to pay for a late model in mint condition, your help / advice / comments would be much appreciated, regards, The Soulman. ![]() |

This being a discontinued model the only hope would be to call around to AD to see if anyone has old inventory. Otherwise the only other option would be to try to find a pre-owned. The headwind is truly a beautiful watch |

Yeah that one on ebay is a bit of an oddity... since it was all brushed which is strange, did not know they came all brushed. I have a polished Black dialed model that I will likely be selling shortly. |

Yes, they made 'entirely matte finish'. It's in 2002 handbook. |

Ok guys, I've been doing some serious internet browsing and have come up with a possibility, the identical watch to the One pictured at the beginning of this thread, brand new and with all the papers / boxes / COSC certificate etc, (No international warranty card) for $3,100 What are your opinions on this ?, is it a good price or should I try to bargain it down a little (Or a lot!!!) Regards, The Soulman. |

Soulman, if a TT dial is what you're really looking for, it might be worth waiting a while to look for other sales. Having said that, they don't come up that often, so I don't know very much about the going price for that version of a Headwind. If you're OK with just SS, I've seen Headwinds with all the papers and boxes go for 1775, (http://cgi.ebay.com/BREITLING-HEADWIND- ... dZViewItem), but they usually go for around $2k. I highly doubt that little bit of added gold warrants an extra thousand dollars, so that might be a bargaining chip for you. Admin, has the Headwind lost it's luster for you? I ask because I've been wanting a blue Headwind for a while, but I have yet to actually see one in person, and am afraid I'll quickly grow tired of it. |

No, no lost lustre, but I have other 44mm sized Breitlings which kind of make the Headwind not often worn... usually when I am thinking about wearing a dressy 44mm Ling, it comes down to the Chronomat Evo with Diamonds or the Headwind, and the Evo wins every time almost... so for me personally it just doesn't get the wrist time. Besides, I need to make room for the 2 panerais I just bought ![]() |
