Based on maz2010's thread of the Skyracer Raven LE's in orange and red (here) it looks like the general consensus of vocal (posting) BS members concerning these watches is negative. I wanted to see if we could get some popular sentiment on the new LE offerings of the Skyracer "Raven" red & orange.
I'm sure there were poll questions I didn't think of and I apologize.

Thanks for participating guys.

I hate them, and if this trend continues, ill definitely be moving elsewhere. Even if there are a few models that I still like, I dont think id like to be associated with a brand that people associate with these types of garbage pieces. Hopefully Breitling is getting all this shit out at once so that we can resume out regularly scheduled programming.

I went with "I don't like them at all and I question my future loyalty to Breitling if this trend continues." I don't want to say never again - I've just added the Navitimer B01 so there is clearly some progress that I like, but if this is indicative of the way that the brand is going then Breitling and I are moving further apart.

I don't wanna be overly dramatic so I went with I don't like them but it doesn't make me want to kill Ling execs.

I'm beginning to wonder if Breitling just had too many Skyracers (inventory) lying around (don't think they were great sellers at this price point). So last year they slapped a black rubber bezel on it to mix it up a bit to help shift sales to a different customer base, and this year they're adding the red and orange bezels for the tourist/cruise ship crowd. Soon the Skyracer as we know it be be completely discontinued :?:

I'm waiting for the blue bezel myself :) .

Anyone else feel like we're on a Breitling emotional roller coaster ?

"I don't like them at all and I question my future loyalty to Breitling if this trend continues", got my vote. Still want a B01 Chronomat BEB, but as for adding anything after that I'm not sure.

I've voted "I don't like them at all and I question my future loyalty to Breitling if this trend continues."

I'll watch Breitling's future moves closely, and hang on to the Colt II Quartz that I love as an everyday "beater" watch. Great functionality, low maintenance costs, understated looks, perfect size. I hope the big flashy watch era will eventually end, and Breitling gets back to producing functional, proportional, real tool watches.

I voted "I don't like them at all but it doesn't turn me away from the brand."

Yes, these 'Skyracer Playskool' models are utterly hideous and contemptable in the extreme, but to say that it makes me question my loyalty to the brand in future is just way too strong a response for me personally. I'll still be more than happy to buy future watches if I like them, so these abortions are just a bump in the road as far as I'm concerned.

Don't like them, but not really sure why everyone is so upset about them. Its a cosmetic issue, not a quality issue, in my opinion. Now if they started releasing watches that looked like currently offered models and slashed prices and quality, that would be a problem. But, for me, producing a watch that I do not like does not illicit the same anger as it does other members. Additionally, producing the new LE's (B01 engines) simply overshadows the models that I do not like.

I respectfully dissent. It is a brand image and reputation issue that arises from a "cosmetic" change. Not all, or most, "cosmetic" changes rise to the level of challenging brand integrity. This one does.

Look at it this way, a woman has "cosmetic" surgery - "augmentation?" Now problem, lets go! A woman has her faced tattoed to look like a circus clown? No way. Integrity is shot.

I recently started huffing glue and they don't look half bad anymore. The problem as soon as i stop huffing they look awful again.

They still make watches I love. These just aren't them

I've been using Dust Off, but they still look like s&!t.
