First off, thanks to everyone on this board for you incredibly helpful assistance (even if you didn't know it)! Been lurking for awhile.

Anyway, I'm off to Tourneau this afternoon to purchase my first Breitling. Looking for black dial chrono in steel w/ steel bracelet. I have it narrowed down to the Chrono Cockpit (if they have a new or slightly pre-owned one), Chrono Galactic (I know the general sentiment around here is to stay away, but I like the look of it and can get past the bezel), or Chrono Superocean (although I have small wrists, so I'm a bit concerned about the size).

My question is what should I pay for each of the following (in steel w/ black dial and steel bracelet):

New Chrono Cockpit

Gently Used Chrono Cockpit

Chrono Galactic

Chrono Superocean

Any thoughts you might have in this department would be greatly appreciated. Again, thanks!

Welcome to the site.
I would go to Tourneau today and see what their best discount is but would wait on buying until I contacted members Jnelson3097 or FEAR for their AD contacts.

I bet you can do better.

Thanks! Will send them a PM. I have no idea what a good price is on these models, though, which is not a situation I generally like to be in going into a purchase like this where I know the price is negotiable. Any thoughts on reasonably good ballpark prices for those models? Just want to try to get a feel for the lay of the land before I go in there.

Thanks!

In the US you should be able to get 20 - 25% off list price.

List price is here (add together the price for the head and your choice of strap / bracelet) - http://www.breitlingsource.com/pricelist.shtml

Tourneau won't give you that.

I'd go for the Chrono superocean between all those

Window shopping is about all they are good for. Dont shop at Tourneau if youre looking for personal service or good discounts.

Thanks all! Thanks to a combination of your input, seeing the chrono galactic in person, and my wife's insistence that I buy this watch (which marks an important milestone in our life) "at a store", I'm now the proud owner of a CSO (black dial, pro II bracelet). Almost bought a Chronomat Evo, but that extra 2mm made it just too big for my wrist (even though I think, proportionally, depth/diameter is "better" on the Evo than the CSO; imho, anyway).

Anyway, Love the CSO. Haven't worn a "real watch" in several years, and despite its heft and depth, it "disappeared" onto my wrist (from a comfort perspective) within an hour. I love this thing. Can't stop staring at it!

Thanks again!!!

Tourneau. Got reasonably close to what I would likely have paid through an AD online, and wife objected to me buying it on the internet "from someone you don't even know". So, since I was there and got a decent deal (not to mention, it's the closest AD to me by several hours), I bought it.
