Post subject:  Breitling navitimer, 38 or 40 mm case?

I was in a Tourneau store yesterday and saw a white or silver dial navitimer with a smaller diameter than I'm used to seeing. I asked the representative and he said it was a 38 or 40 mm case, in which he wasn't sure of at that moment. I had a black or navy blue leather strap with white stiching, which i didn't pay attention to the color much because I'm interested in a braclet. He said it was a standard Navitimer (as in not a world or montbrilliant, etc). I cant seem to find this model on Breitling's website, does anyone on here have any information on what I'm describing? I'm a person of smaller stature (5'7", 145) and think that this smaller navitimer is a better fit for me.

Thanks.

No such thing in the current lineup.

Standard Navitimer is just under 42mm, only the Montbrillant is smaller at 38mm and 40mm in the new in house variant.

It would have to have been an earlier, now discontinued, model.

Thanks I appreciate it. I've been searching the web and the closest thing I've come up with is the discontinued Navitimer 92, but the model I saw in the store had "Navitimer" right under the Breitling emblem. Its very close, with the dials also at the 3, 6, and 9 position. I must find this watch.

Don't sell the True Navitimer @ 41.5 mm out. People tell tales of the shrinking Breitling, and I didn't believe it was true until I saw it first hand with my SOH 46 mm on my 6.75 inch wrists, and a similar frame. Even a small wrist can pull off a 42 mm watch.

The Navi is an amazing fitting watch that can get you thru most any non watersports activity (dress, casual, happy hour, etc.)

I never felt like the smaller Monty had the same heart as the Standard or even World Navitimers. JMO.

Roff Is Correct That It Has To Be A Discontinued Model!

Such As The Navitimer 92, Navitimer Airborne, Or Navitimer 02 (tho it only has two sub dials & no date but it does come in white).

Cheers,

Can't be an Airborne - that has 4 subdials.

I suspect that it was actually a regular Navitimer at 41.8mm (not 41.5 as stated earlier).

Well it was sitting right next to a 41.8 mm navitimer. I'm beginning to wonder now...was I looking at a ladies version?? Do they exist?

Gee, shocking that Tourneau sales rep wouldn't know much about a watch in the sales case....

Anyway, call Tourneau and ask them to read you the reference number off the caseback. That's the easiest way to know for certain which model it is.
