When it is time to send your B back for servicing every 5 years (ish) does the price ranging depending on your watch? I hear it is about $500 but are some models more such as the Navitimer line and the Bentlys? Secondly, as for Breitlings quart watches... Is it necessary to service them or would it be primarily be purely cleaning? Reasoning I'm asking is due to hearing about how people change there own batteries, and if you can do it yourself...then what would be the reason to ever have to send the watch away??? ![]() |

That makes sense, except I thought they charged extra/separately for parts. Is it the case that there are parts that they automatically replace (and are included in the standard price) while others are replaced (and charged separately) as needed? |

Some parts will be considered to be 'consumables' and replaced as a matter of course - the mainspring and balance (easier than replacing just the hairspring) being the most obvious examples. The other point about far fewer parts / movements is that there aren't so many available for people to train on - it's a lot easier to find an ETA / Valjoux trained watchmaker than it is to train people on your own in house movement - you can't buy in that talent. |

i agree with the others 750 for a full service on the B01 seems like a fair price. If you look at other brands with in house pieces the service cost tends to be over the 1000 dollar mark. |
