Guys, new to this forum. Wondering if you guys could give me an idea of the value of a never worn, but sent back 1 year ago for a new battery and a check up Emergency Mission 2004 Reno Air Race watch. It was given to me by a sponsor as a gift. I have the original receipt, all paperwork, case, test unit and it is registered to me.
The FAA has just announced that they are not decommissioning 121.5 MHZ as "Guard" so the watch frequency will still be monitored for years to come!
Thanks, I'm considering selling.

It's an Emergency, not Emergency Mission. :)

They're about the same. The best way to evaluate current market value is to check the "advanced search" section on ebay and search on "completed listings".

OK, thanks. I re-read that. I figured that because it was a commemorative watch that I wouldn't be able to find a price point for it.
Thanks, I'll do some research.

Let me try to help you a bit. Here's a Chrono-Matic Reno Air Races that recently sold on ebay. While it's not the Emergency, you could check what other regular Chrono-Matics have sold for and decide about value.
(Remember to keep condition in mind on that watch.)

I appreciate that thanks.
After looking at an average for unworn Emergency watches, the higher end is in the 6K range. I would think that a Reno Emergency that is perfect should be about 8K. What do you think?

No way. Where are you getting an average of $6000.00? The list price for brand new head only is $5315.00. Add a Pro II titanium for another 900.00 and your up to about $6200.00 from the AD with a two year warranty.

Yeah I agree that they are new for 5300 but how much more does one sell a limited edition Reno Air Race version for?

As FEAR said, and I agree, they're really not worth any more than a regular Emergency.
