Before I found this forum, I never would have considered a diamond bezel, I thought it to be too flashy. Seeing all the pics posted here, however, has changed my mind and I would like to one day own a diamond-bezeled Breitling.

It seems that the factory and aftermarket only make diamond bezels for the Evolution, Chrono Cockpit, Super Avenger and some Bently models. The problem is, none of those really interest me, except perhaps the Evo. Are there diamond bezels for other models? I wonder if a diamond bezel would look out of place on my Steelfish, for instance. Any one else want diamonds for their Breitling for which a diamond bezel is not normally available?

I've never seen diamond bezels for any models other than those you mentioned (plus the Crosswind, etc).

If you really want a bling'd up Steelfish, then I'm pretty sure you'll be looking at a custom job. However the good news is that there is nothing different about putting rocks on a Steelfish bezel as opposed to an SA bezel, so there is no technical reason why it couldn't be done. Any decent jewelry maker should be able to do a custom job on your standard bezel. Alternatively there are quite a few specific companies on the net that specialise in this kind of thing. A search on Google should highlight a few.

admin i dunno if you checked the prices on tns diamonds but they are sick over priced. i called them and asked them a price on my SO before i had the diamonds put in and thought i was hearing things when they told me a price for just the top of the bezel.

ROSS IF YOUR LOOKING FOR STONES IN YOUR BEZEL NO MATTER WHAT TYPE OF BREITLING YOU HAVE I KNOW THE GUY WHO GIVES THE ABSOLUTE BEST DEALS POSSIBLE. ALL THE STONES ARE VS1. I HAD MY SO CUSTOM DONE AND I JUST ORDERED MY CHANNEL SET BEZEL FOR MY SA. (WILL POST PICS WHEN ITS FINISHED). PM ME IF YOU HAVE SOME QUESTIONS.

Does anyone know if they make diamond bezels for the Colt II or super ocean chrono?

I find that TNS Diamonds are quite pricey too, but on the other hand, but they do a good job. I've seen one from them in person and it looks really good, however I can't be sure they all are good from them.

There are lots of great local guys that make a nice bezel.. the problem I have with the cheaper bezels and even my bezel is that even though the stones are all VS1-VS2, they aren't cut very well so they are clean stones with no yellowing or many inclusions but they do not sparkle as much as I'd like. To get better cut stones they wanted to double the price and I figured I'd see how I like this first, and then swap out later if I wanted.

Thanks for the info. I'm not ready for the diamonds yet, but at least I now know that I have some options should I choose to have my watch done. I'd love to see some pics of custom diamond bezels, especially those that are on models that don't normally have diamonds.

You can put diamonds on anything you want. Trust me, i've seen them on all types of items.

Beware of ebay sellers of diamonds ...people such as 'abreitlingday' etc...they use cheap quality stones, especially compared to the breitling diamonds. Yeah they MIGHT pass as vs1, but the color is getting up in the I-J range...which isn't great at all. TNS diamonds do quality work and can use whatever diamonds you wish to put on, but like a poster said above, they can be pricey at times. Your best bet is to go in a diamond district and talk to wholesalers and get quotes from them. This is what i have done and found a local reputable jeweler who does my custom work for me. I even get to choose the loose diamonds myself, but trust him enough to pick them out for me. Good luck and enjoy the bling.
