Post subject:  More important: color or price?

This week I WILL buy a 6.75. I've been eyeing this watch for a while now and have narrowed my choice to two dealers.

Dealer A has the best price. Dealer B wants about $400 more than Dealer A but has the 6.75 with a white dial, which is the specific watch I want. On the other hand, the 6.75 is a beautiful piece in any color.

I've literally scoured the world over and am almost positive that these two dealers offer better pricing than anyone else. So when it comes down to it, which is more important; price or color? I think I'm leaning towards paying the extra $400 for the watch I really want. When you're talking about this sort of price to begin with, $400 isn't really a whole lot extra. Does anyone care to weigh in here?

I would go and try out www.interwatches.com and save 3 grand. That's just me tho.

DEFINITELY COLOR!!!
I cant stress this enough! $400 will be the difference between absolutely loving your watch, or always wishing that it was the white one that you really wanted. Trust me. Get the one you want more.

On a side note, try to get the dealer with the white one to give you a better deal. You dont always have to buy locally either. There are many dealers who will give you pretty nice discounts.

In any event though, get the one you like more. Dont settle because of price.

GO with your favorite color even if it costs more. You would never enjoy the other watch as much as the one with the white dial.

Color for sure. Also the prices should be the same if you ask me...

Colour, without a doubt.

No matter what, you're spending a lot of money. Why spend that much on less than what you REALLY want?

Best wishes,

Colour every time. When buying a luxury watch you have to be 100% satisfied from the outset or else it will also bug you on some level and you WILL end up selling it at some point. Trust me.... I know from personal (Rolex) experience!

Absolutely (again), color.

Spending a lot of money on the 6.75, it is simply not just worth a minor part of the cash ($400) to get something that is not 100% what you want.

I agree with all others....color! color! color! For me it hurts to spend more money due to something like color, however, I will recover from a little extra money, and usually never recover from the wrong color.

Thanks to all who responded. I will go with the white and was leaning that way anyways. When I purchase an expensive item like a house or a car (or a watch) the hunt is almost as good as the kill, so oftentimes I tend to only focus on price by the end. But it is important to get what you want and that is what I'll do!

Actually Interwatches.com is the "Dealer A" from my original post. They have the best price, but nothing in white. I'll reveal who "Dealer B" is and post a review of my experience when I'm done with this transaction.

Simple questions to resolve this:

How long is it going to take to forget that you spent $400?

How long is it going to take to forget that your watch isn't the colour you wanted?

Like everyone has already said.. definately Color. However, I prefer Black overall to white dials when worn on my wrist. White catches my attention in the display case better though.

However, if you accumulate a lot of watches color won't matter since you'll have to ahve one of each... kinda like Driver8 there :D

I would pay a little extra for the right color, unless it was $500 higher.
