Don't know if you guys have seen this already or not, dont remember it being on the boards.
Good thing or not? I'm not sure, I've never really honestly felt the connection.

The Swiss watch manufacturer Breitling and the British automobile manufacturer Bentley have renewed the partnership agreement already binding them for almost 10 years. The natural affinities between the two brands that cultivate performance and prestige will lead to the creation of new Breitling for Bentley chronographs featuring a revolutionary look – while Breitling dashboard clocks will continue to equip the models in the Bentley Continental range.

The association sealed between Breitling and Bentley in 2002 is based on numerous common values, including a love of fine mechanisms, a passion for achievements and the quest for technical and aesthetic excellence. Heirs to a legacy of superlative expertise, both brands also share the same future-oriented momentum, symbolized by a winged B signature. Their encounter has given rise to a collection of exceptional chronographs that have already proven very successful among connoisseurs and devotees of rare watches. Dedicated to the automobile world, Breitling for Bentley instruments feature various exclusive technical characteristics and high-performance movements chronometer-certified by the COSC, as indeed are all Breitling movements. Their powerful and refined aesthetic pays homage to the various hallmarks of the British carmaker. In 2011, the Breitling for Bentley line will be shifting up a gear with new chronographs endowed with standout technology and designs, while Bentley has chosen to equip its new Continental GT, a gem of elegance and outstanding performances, with a Breitling dashboard clock – like all models of the Continental range since 2002.

Well it promises new watches with new designs so that's something to look forward to. As the high end range you have to assume that in house movements are going to be part of it at some point - maybe this year as they talk about standout technology. I'll reserve judgement until I see the pieces (presumably at Basel), although these days when Breitling talks about "a revolutionary look" I'm tempted to cringe.

:yeahthat Couldn't have said it better myself. Personally I've recently started to think that the Bentley association has run it's course, but who knows, these new models could be gorgeous..... or hideous. Time will tell I guess......

I can only hope for gorgeous rather than hideous, but honestly, I think the co-branding has been a great thing for both companies (unlike the panerai/ferrari relationship or just about any other for that matter) and I am personally glad that they renewed! Lets keep our fingers crossed!
