Well words can't describe the amount of excitement thats running through by body. I'm 25 years old and I first got into watches about 5 years ago. I started off with low end watches and through the years my education with the watch industry grew. As time went by and I was reading and reading about watches and movements, I came across Breitling. I new nothing about Breitling but instantly fell in love with the brand. I found this site years ago, I would only read and not really post being I felt I wasn't worthy haha. Well fast forward a few years and I decided to sell the watches that I didn't really care for and start saving for my first real watch that I can be proud of. Well today I spoke with George from Govberg Jewelers and placed my order for a White baton dial Super Avenger on a pro2. I cant wait till I get the watch home, I'll post pics as soon as I get the watch around my wrist :) Thanks for taking the time to read everyone.

Cheers,
Anthony

What makes you think youre worthy now? lol j/k. :poke:

I think there are actually more than a few people here who have been members for a while and dont own a Breitling.

Hey Anthony!

Congratulations man on your new purchase! I bet you are very eager to get the call when your watch is available for pickup.

Its funny because reading your story reminds me of mine. Breitling was the brand that got me into the higher end watches. I've always had an interest in watches. Had two Citizens and a Tag. Then in 2008 I guess when I was 26 (so one year older than you) I bought my first Breitling brand new in store. I remember it like it was yesterday since at first I didn't want to hear anything about Breitling. At that time I wanted an Oris. So I walked in at La Swiss in Montreal and started trying some models from Oris. The sales guy (Adel...awesome guy btw) then walked me to the Breitling counter. I was like "no way, I am not feeling the brand plus there's a lot of fakes out there and everybody will think mines fake". Needless to say though, I wasn't feeling his suggestion. He urged me to just try one. I took his advice, put one on (SuperOcean Chrono) and I literally fell in love with it. It was amazing. I got a huge grin on my face, the size, shine, feel, shape, everything pleased me more than I could have ever imagined lol. That day when I went home I found this forum and I started to discover the brand in more detail and all the different models. Then I registered to the forum and starting interacting with the guys here. I also spent a lot of time reading about watches, the different movements ETA, Valjoux, in-house etc and really increasing my knowledge from the very little I knew back then. Then I went back to the store two, three times to negotiate and I ended up picking a black dial SuperOcean. I was so happy; you'll see when the moment arrives... its truly awesome. I got a bunch of compliments on my watch too and I was surprised that nobody thought it was fake. Anyways, its not like I would have cared what other people thought because I was simply over the moon happy with my Ling.

It has served me flawlessly thus far. Accurate, rugged and just great looking. Now though as everybody will tell you and you will discover yourself, once you buy one, you’ll want to start collecting and you’ll want to add more Lings. I just bought a Navi and I am still waiting for it to get here…been waiting for almost eight weeks…any day now it should arrive.

Anyways, long story short, congratulations on the new purchase and welcome to the world of Breitling!
