Post subject:  Ordering a watch from Prestige time

Great forum here, I shopped via the link on the site and am possibly going to purchase through Prestige time. Do these watches come with all papers and boxes that I would normally get from an AD? I am deciding on the Steelfish or SO Chrono or possibly the Colt Chrono.. if anyone has any suggestions..

They shuld, but warranty will not be stamped by AD and that means that you don't have a Breitling warranty, just theirs. That's why the watch is 20% cheaper than the retail.

does that affect future resale value ?

I think that depends on when you would resell the watch. If you choose to sell within the first two years, then yes it would probably hurt resale value since it is not covered under the Breitling warranty. However, if you choose to sell after two years then the Breitling warranty would be over anyways so it should have less of an adverse effect.

You won't recieve the warranty card.

You will receive the certificate of authenticity, owners manuals, but no warranty card.

Great to deal with, I Purchased my Navi-World from them.

Does having the warranty card..even if expired still increase the re-sale value because it documents authenticity because it will indicate purchase from an AD?

It shouldnt be a big deal, as long as the watch has the serial numbers intact. This is probably the most important, because if it doesnt, you wont even get a COSC certificate. With no numbers, its much less desirable since its harder for future buyers to verify authenticity without all of the paperwork.

On a side note a good AD should be able to give you a similar deal if you know who to talk to.

Bought my SteelFish from an AD and 20% off. A good AD will work with you. Also have another AD who was going to give a discount if I showed at an air show to boost attendance.
