Here is the situation...i'm torn between buying a new Aerospace and a new iMac 27". I already have a macbook but i'm looking at buying a desktop..i heard new iMacs are getting announced in the first half of 2011. I also have a yachtmaster and recently sold my Navi World, I was thinking of waiting for the announcements in Basel, but i doubt there will be a new aerospace...

What do you think?

Wrong place to ask this I would guess. I vote for the watch. Computers have become like toasters to me. Buy them use them pitch them. A nice watch is a wearable piece of art.

If you have a computer then you don't need another one. If you have less than 100 watches, you need more.

Next question?

How do you find the Macbook? Do you have any projects you intend to start that you'll need desktop power for?

I was thinking of getting a new desktop at the end of last year, but I didn't bother, and I'm glad I didn't-- I have to go into the office to use it (because I don't like having a computer station cluttering up the living room), which is a pain, and really-- a laptop is sufficiently powerful for my computing needs right now, so a desktop would only be a needless expense.

I say Aerospace, but that may because I'm biased and think they're brilliant. Seconding what Roff said about the computer to watches ratio, too.

Sell the Yachtmaster, buy the Aerospace and another Breitling after Basel announcements :D .

What's there to decide? :lingsrock:

(I know, we're not helping much... or are we?)

I like to think anyone posting a question like that on a specific forum like this is looking for a biased answer because they subconsciously want to be enabled.

The Aerospace is for life, your i-Mac will be outdated in 6 months.

:uplaugh:

I'd vote watch as well. The 27" iMac is obnoxiously large - seriously doesn't make sense, IMO.

Maybe just get a 21.5" refurb AND the watch!

Hmmm.....another clue about Roff's collection! Since he's still looking for watches, apparently DOES have less than a 100!

Ewww...

Both are very overpriced at MSRP.

You can get a nice preowned Aerospace for well under $2k. Just look around. Don't pay anywhere near retail for it. $3600 on bracelet is ridiculous...There is "supposedly" a price increase on Tuesday, so that will make it closer to $4k.

I would NEVER spend that kind of money on a computer. They are obsolete in no time and have zero resale.

Apples are attractive because they are easier to deal with and there are less virus programs written to hurt them, but it's still a computer...

So look for a nice deal on the Aerospace. Forget the Imac....get something else.

My iMac is what I use to see all these beautiful photos you guys post. I can't stand typing on laptops. I'd rather sit at my dest while on BS than relax with my laptop on the couch.

How about an iPad and a used Aerospace.
