Post subject:  Dented crown

Firstly, hello all,I am new to this forum. I have a Breitling Chrono Avenger Ti.

It has gone to Breitling UK as I had some trouble changing the date. I sent it for a full refurbishment and thought all worn parts were replaced as part of this £300 service, but the quote has said the crown is dented and the total cost will be £455 including a new crown and the strip down clean and case refurb and vat.

I am ok with this but dont understand what is meant by a dented crown? does the crown mean all of it inclunding the stem that goes into the watch and how could it get dented.Any ideas.

Thanks

Eddie

It usually indicates a knock - just ask them which part is damaged and they should tell you.
