Is it possible to buy extra bands and switch them out whenever you want to? For example if the watch comes with a stainless band and you want to get a rubber one to wear every few days or so. Is it easy enough to do yourself or is this a silly idea?

I'm thinking about getting a black leather one, I bought the watch from Torneau so I'd like to buy the strap there too if possible, do you know if they sell them there (for the Super Avenger)?

I remember the salesperson there saying she didn't recommend switching the bands out myself and that when I want it switched I can take it to her and she'll do it for free. Is there a chance I'll break the watch by doing it myself or is she just being paranoid?

Any AD can order you a strap. If you aren't used to changing straps / bracelets it's easy to scratch the back of the lugs, especially if you don't have the right tool.

It will take a lot more than that to "break" the watch. The worst that will happen (aside from a freak accident) is sratching the lugs up. Most people tape the lugs to prevent scratching in case you slip with the 6767F tool.

You can get a strap from any AD. They will all cost about the same.

I am a complete and utter klutz of the hopeless variety. Give me a simple household project and I will need to hire a contractor before the end of the day.

But even I can - and do several times a week - change out bracelet and straps. The spring bar tool Roff mentioned - Bergeon 6767F is all you need. I've yet to scratch the case or lugs. Unless you count the back side of the lugs - I don't.

To my knowledge you can't necessarily "break the watch" by switching a band. Unless you drop it(i guess) when changing it lol

I do mine my self all the time and after watching a video on how to do it I was very confident in doing it myself and I'm sure you will to. Once you know the trick to doing it you can swap out a a band or strap in 30 seconds to a minute.

Thanks for the info. I'm not too clumsy so I think I should be able to do it myself. I'll head down to Torneau this weekend and see what they have. Will they sell the tool too or do I need to get that online somewhere?

Is there a trick to "easily" get the Pro II bracelet back on the watch? I had a really hard time yesterday fitting the end links between the lugs. I have watched the admin's video probably 10 times but that does not show putting the bracelet back on.

Putting the Rubber straps back into the deployment (which you rarely ever need to do unless buying a new rubber strap)are a P-I-T-A!....However, putting the rubber strap back in the lugs of the watch....Cake! Literally, 20 Seconds tops. The rubber obviously has give to it, enabling the pins to snap right in. Stick one side of the pin in the lug, then use your tool to gently push the other side down and fit it right into the other hole.
