So I had to go back to see my AD today - it being at least four days since I was last there. Wanted to price up an Avenger Skyland as a sporty watch option for the summer, and was being forced to price up a bronze on bronze SOH 38 for dearly beloved.

Well I saw a slate grey Skyracer with black subs on the Pro II and I know it's a $1,000 more than the Skyland, and I know it's overpriced for what it is, but I kinda like it.

Have I completely lost it?

Nah, you've not lost it Roff - it's totally normal behaviour for this place! (Hmmmm come to think about it..... )

I really like the Skyracer with gray dial. In fact, it's next on my list, I don't see anything wrong with wanting one. I know a lot of people have bashed it, seemingly on a bang for the buck issue, but I still want one. :D

If the Skyracer were $1000 less than the Skyland I would own one. I don't think you've lost your mind at all. I love the watch, especially the white dial/brown croc combo. But for some reason I was turned off by the price.

Of course, now that you're talking about it, I want one

If it were $1,000 less, heck yeah - that would make my street price $2,350 taxes in - I'd be all over that. As it is, I'm looking at more than if they can still get me a blacksteel, but it is nice :D

Yeah, sorry. I didn't realize how stupid that came out until it was too late. I meant, $1000 LESS as opposed to $1000 MORE, merely as the inverse of what was stated, I never stopped to do the math. I'd own one too... Maybe two!

Ahhh...the dreaming continues.

Just for complete clarity, what I was quoted was (all prices in C$, taxes in):

Skyland on Pro II - $3350
Skyland Blacksteel on rubber (obviously) - $4100 (if available)
Skyracer on Pro II - $4300

I went to my AD with every intension to get a Skyracer but found it to be too busy on the dial for my taste. I will take one of those $4100 Blacksteel's, though!!! My AD has me on the list (of people who arent going to get a Blacksteel from my AD cause they cant get them!)..

Scott

Carl..... didnt you mention selling yours in a different thread.... lol!

I'm kind of thinking that way too - get a Blacksteel if I can as it's LE and get a Skyracer later
