I think that sums it up very nicely. As far as the Rolex with the El Primero movement goes, well it is a very nice movement no question there but it would it fact not be a Manufacture watch. But IRCC a company only needs to produce one movement in house to be a Manufacture. I don't really think being from a Manufacture makes a watch that much better than one like Breitling or Omega for example.

On a side note, I own and wear each of my Breitlings with great pride. Just as I would a Sekio or any other watch that I enjoy.

Read the posts but I haven't seen or read the name of a jeweler who will buy my watch. I have a Navitimer Olympus with a silver face and steel bracelet purchased in January of 2004, that is currently being repaired to "like new" status by Breitling for $650. No one in Southwest is interested in even a trade.

I've had several Navi's and no problems with sweat under the dial. Yours must be a slightly defective one. 3bars is actually 30meters.

That's too bad.. the olympus is a nice watch.

Thanks for the reply.
I was just reading at one of your links, Timezone, that Breitling US is running extremly slow on repairs. Is this true?

They've always been slow as far as I've known. I wouldn't send to Breitling for typical service, just use the AD, unless parts like crystals need replacing. Turnaround at Breitling can sometimes be 6-9 months

It was sent in by the AD because the Navitimer Olympus can't be serviced by the AD. They say that CT mandates their on site action. Won't ship the parts to the AD. They say that there a few models where Breitling makes this policy for the AD. The turn around on the service quatoe was 6 days! It wasn't shipped until last Monday at the earliest, Tuesday at the aletst. The AD called today with the estimate.

ooh.. wow that's not bad at all then. I've never serviced anything more than a Chronongraph, and cost was $500. Non-chrono models were around $175 or something I don't remember.

My local dealer has a SuperOcean, mint condition, with a stainless bracelet. Both the watch and the bracelet are the older SuperOcean, befor the changes (in 2002?), and someone just purchased it for $1695. It would have been about $2100.00 new.
Cheers,
Carl
