I picked this up recently and I was wondering what the general consensus was concering this rare chronomat. It's the Longitude and has a brushed finish similar to the Blackbird and a clever GMT hand which tucks neatly away behind the hour hand when not required.

I know this older style Chronomat does seem small by modern standards but it does have some wrist presence I think due to the thickness.

Hi Steve,

Thats nice mate.
I have the older model,i think this is from 1995 as the papers are not dated.

Its at breitling UK at the moment can,t wait for it to come back in March.
Quite happy as well as the service is only going to just over £300.
I have had it 10 years so it may be its first service.
Good luck with your search for a bracelet.

Regards

Colin

Very nice Colin, from what I can gather the yellow dial versions are very rare and becoming quite collectable.

I really like that! Looks rugged, brushed works for me and as I'm in the market for a GMT watch, it's especially pleasing. Congratulations on a very nice acquisition.

Thank you all for the nice comments, here is a picture that shows the yellow GMT hand, they are quite rare in this dial combination as they were only available between 2002 - 2003 apparently.

WOW  That thing is awesome  , I would pick that up in a second if I found one for sale, I love the GMT function and the color combo with the brushed look makes it look very nice. Roff do you have any input on this model? Would love to know more about it.

Good Luck with it...

Keith

Not sure what else you are looking for. It's originally an early 1990s model but survived for about 10 years with some updates. It has an unusual movement - Breitling 20, based on the 7750 with a GMT complication. The only other Breitling that used it was the rare Astromat Longitude from the mid 90s.

I keep coming back to this post, I really like your watch. Please try to post more photo's of it, possibly with the GMT set. Love to see the older classics that set the stage for where we are now. Beautiful.
Best health, Frank

Hi Frank, I will try and get a few tomorrow with the extra GMT hand showing although there is a good picture in this link from this forum.

If you happen to have a 2002 or 2003 Breitling cataloge there are some great pictures of the watch.
