Just researching on the availability and price of the AS Blacksteel on the sales corner. It seems to me they are quite hard to find and they seems to hold their value well (Most in mint condition are about 70% of the RRP)!
Am I correct to assuming the AS Blacksteel is very much a collectible (given at Limited edtions of 200pcs) and owners are not letting them go?
They are 2000 pieces, not 200.
i had a superavenger blacksteel, they made 3000 of those, then the quartz one, then the flying b, then the blackbird, it just wasnt special enough, the durability wasnt what i hoped on the finish, so i sold mine.
there are about 500 is the us, so yeah, they may get a premium, as far as long term holding value....we'll have to see
Thanks for pointing it out, I meant 2000pcs..

An extra zero does make a difference..
I think Breitling saw the success of the AS Blacksteel hence it began to introduce to other line of their range. I don't really care for the limited editions, I like the aesthetics of the Blacksteel versions. Especially on the AS and SA, in my opinion the best of the blacksteel range.
I agreed with you that Breitling need to define their version of 'Limited Edition' because 1000 is not limited at all. Maybe 100 to 300 on their limited editions would make it special.
