Thinking about picking one up in March or so. I actually can't find too much info on this site. Obviously more people on here are more keen to the Super Avenger, but frankly I have a tiny wrist. To the folks who own one (previously the Avenger Skyland), what are your thoughts? Does the 45mm sit big on the wrist? I don't mind if it does.

Also, what is the price according to the most recent price list? I only see the 2009 price list on this site.

TIA

2009 price list is the most recent, US prices didn't increase in 2010. There are dozens and dozens of threads on the Avenger here and I am sure people will offer their opinions.

Thanks roff. I'm assuming prices will hold stable in 2011? The economic outlook still isn't great.

I wouldn't assume that - UK prices are increasing tomorrow.

The Sklyland is a great watch. I have 6&1/2" wrist and it is pushing it for me, but I still like it - not if it was a everyday wearer though. But for a little "nearly over the top bling," love it. It also wears smaller off the bracelet of course. I prefer a brown croco with my black dial Skyland.

OR as you are a Hawkeye fan - get the yellow abyss Superocean II. I was wearing mine at the Insight Bowl!!

OR the "Code Yellow" Avenger for that matter.

I have to go with Shark, on the bracelet too much for me. I owned a Super avenger for a time and found it to big for me. I have an 8" wrist. I am a little out of the Super avenger age group as well. Ok, a lot out...... The Skyland is a good size if the Avenger style is what you are looking for. Go to your AD they will let you try them on. I actually like a white dial Evo on Black croc over either of these. Where in Iowa are you? I grew up in the Cedar Falls area.

Who were you rooting for at the Insight bowl? I don't think I'm going to buy a Code Yellow and I already have a coral SO, although it would be GREAT to wear on game days.

Thanks for the info. I grew up on Davenport, went to University of Iowa, and now I live in Des Moines.

ETA - Last time I was at my AD (November), they didn't have the Skyland.

I grew up on a farm near there. Good to have you in the forum. Great bunch of watch nuts here. Have a safe New Years all!

I spent four....uhm...rather conspicuous years in Iowa City. At least I think it was Iowa City.

The Avenger Skyland is discontinued. It was replaced with the Avenger which is identical except it has slivered arabic numeral or batons instead of white arabic numeral. Everything else is the same.

The Code Yellow Avenger is also identical, but is a special edition with some yellow hands against a black dial.

I have small wrists and I love the look of the super avenger, it was just too big! So, I bought the Avenger and it is exactly like the super avenger just smaller. :lingsrock:

I have slipped away from the Breitling brand but am hopping that some day I can snag a Datora..... White dial, Black croc.

Can echo what others have said about Skyland wearing smaller off the bracelet. All that polished stainless steel just looked too big and blingy to me. I really like mine on a black calf skin or brown distressed band. Not so much a daily wearer but definitely great for weekends and nights out. I'm a fan of mine.
