Post subject:  Boxing Day

Hello All,
I'm new to the forum and been lurking for a while. I'm the owner of a Chronomat and was looking to add another Breitling this year and was waiting for a more substantial discount on boxing day, seeing that on previous boxing days there had been discounts up to 40%. Upon going in today La Swiss wouldn't go higher than 25% which is the usual discount. Does anyone know if there will be more substantial discounts in the upcoming week or have the days of larger discounts on boxing day gone? May have to bite the bullet with the regular discount.
Thanks,
David

well, esp in canada, 25 off is a good deal, esp since in the last year breitling has lowered the discount to the ad's and not upped list price, the dont have the margin in them they did before.

Canadian dealer prices DID NOT increase this year, only US. 25% is standard, but you can get closer to 30% on some models. The 40% sales are not happening anywhere this year as far as I know - there may be one or two store specific deals if the inventory is too high but I don't believe that Grigoros approved any.

how does the exchange rate to the canadian $ compare to the us list price adn usd.

for example, what is canadian list on a bentley 657 on bracelet, its 8800 us.
what does that translate to with the currency exchange?

Prices are virtually identical now - Canadian prices are usually about $10 - $50 higher. Of course it still doesn't make sense to buy from the US due to 5% import duty on top of local sales taxes.
