Very good day today. Picked up my new B4B 6.75 Speed in silver storm from a local AD in Los Angeles. The watch came with a black crocodile leather strap with the deployment buckle. The AD has offered to exchange the black croc for a brown croc. Do you guys think I should make the change? Personally, i think the silver face looks great on the brown. However, I dont wear brown shoes or belts often so I'm not sure if i should ditch the black. Do you guys consider what color leather strap you wear with your clothes?

first off congrats on your new watch buddy. did you get the regular 6.75 or the speed version. As for the strap IMO I say stick with the black. It seems to go with more stuff. But if you love the brown its really a personal preferrence.

Merry Christmas

Sounds like a great Christmas for you! I also extend my congratulations to you, and agree with boogiebot. Keep the black strap especially since you wear black. For my Chronomat which came with the steel pilot bracelet, I have purchased an oem black calf strap and brown because I do coordinate with my shoes and belt. Mine has a silver face too-one of the reasons I got a silver faced B is because I knew I was going to throw a variety of straps on it and the silver is very, very neutral.

I would just have the AD order you a regular brown leather strap for $160 (maybe less if they like you) and you would have both options.

Dark brown straps go with anything - brown, black, navy. PP, AP, etc.. offer many $30K plus watches intended for and offered on chocolate brown straps and I doubt the idea was only wear your Patek with earth tones!

It's a watch strap, not a belt or shoes. Pick the one you like best and wear it with whatever you want. (I prefer brown with a white or silver dial, but nothing wrong with black)

I got mine from Bijou Milano in Koreatown. My fiance's friend is a sales rep for this AD and was able to give us a pretty good deal. Would you mind posting a picture of your combination? I just have a feeling the brown croc strap makes the world of difference in appearance for white/silver dial faces

 Sorry guys, no offense intended to anyone who really cares about it, but all this "matching belt, shoes, watch strap" stuff really cracks me up. IMO just match the strap to the watch head and don't worry about anything else. I sure as hell wouldn't leave a nice watch in the winder just because it had a brown strap and I was wearing black shoes! Sorry guys, it just makes me laugh that blokes would care about that kind of thing.

:yeahthat :lingsrock:
i tend to morematch the watch to the occasion and overall outfit. suit will get something on a croc, out to dinner in jeans wither rubber gmt or bracelet, casual the corum or superavenger. but matching colors to belts and shoes is silly.

Haha no problemo-I do match em but I have to admit it isn't a priority and it definitely isn't necessary-almost nobody ever notices anyway when I match the stuff up to that degree so I guess I just do it for me...
