Hey guys....long time lurker and first time poster. I am looking for another dive watch to supplement my current, meager collection which includes an Omega Planet Ocean XL, a Baume Mercier Classima, and an old Bulova and old Movado Museum watch.

The Omega has a black face and the dressier BM is a white face. Therefore I am looking at either blue or brown face for my Breitling. That being said I am curious what others recommend for my first Breitling! I am leaning towards the blue FWIW. Thanks.

Marc

Between the two I prefer the blue. I just think it would be more versatile. The mesh bracelet though does nothing for me. A blue SOH on an OR looks very classic and sporty.

Welcome to the site. It's great to have you here.

I think bronze for me.

Are you thinking of buying through AuthenticWatches.com or through an authorized Breitling dealer?

Thanks guys. I was just using the pics from AuthenticWatches.com. I would be using an AD for this purchase....actually looking for a good one that will discount and ship to NJ if anyone wants to PM me! ;) The "FAD" that I used for my Omega Planet Ocean purchase does not really give that much of a discount on Breitling...he mentioned his margins are much less.

The blue and brown watches also come with a silver (whitish) face. After seeing these on Breitling.com I now have four different configurations to choose from instead of two!!! Has anyone seen the two tone blue or brown on silver and what do you think of that setup?

Thanks again,

Marc

If you are thinking white dial then I would suggest the SOH LE with the white dial and and black bezel. It is the most attractive version IMO.

Blue or black, with the mesh braclet, both are beautiful classic lookers in my opinion, so is the white. I've had all of them on my wrist no less than a dozen times but have yet to pull the trigger. I think my problem is, I can't seem to choose between the colors. My wife likes the white one on me. Buy it and make me envious, then maybe I will have to jump in and get one.

I'd go bronze just because you don't see many bronze dials around on any watches.

But aside from the options you've given, my first choice would be the green bezel with black dial, closely followed by the all black version.
