Post subject: | Feedback on Navitimer 92 |
hello all, Im new here. i have a Navitimer 92 (steel w/gold bezel) which ive owned since new in 1997. What movement does this watch have? Is this a certified movement? How does this movement compare to the 42mm "normal" navitimer? Any thoughts to this being collectable going forward as its one of the few 38mm navitimers? just curious, i enjoy the watch but wonder what are my options if i wanted to trade it for something else. thanks very much. |

http://www.breitlingsource.com/breitlin ... ries.shtml ![]() All the technical info you want is there. The 92 has a ETA 2892, which is a time/date movement (no date in this case) with a chronograph module added to it. Current Navis are ETA 7750 based, which is built as a chronograph from the ground up. Both are similar, and one is usually chosen over the other for sub-dial layout considerations (2892 is usually 3, 6, 9 while 7750 is 6, 9, 12...of course there are variations, but thats a whole different story...). Also, the 2892 is generally the choice when more complications are going to be added to it. None of the 92's are COSC certified. |

will this model be collectable going forward as they seem somewhat in low production as there are few 38mm navitimers except for montbrilant? on the other hand, smaller watches do not seem in vogue these days. |

No more or less collectable than any other Breitling - watches in general make very bad investments from a collectables standpoint. |
