I recently lost my brieghtling in Manchester uk I bought it 13 years ago from Barbados for £1300 the cost now is approx £3500 from the UK. I am going to Thailand in January with a stop off in Abu Dhabi will I be able to make a saving by buying at the airport?

I guess that maybe Montexn, roman4405 or altair (when he will be available again) are more qualified to give you an answer but before that you should learn how to spell Breitling :poke:

Last time i was in Abu Dhabi was in February 2009, there were no Breitlings there, I think they had lost the Franchise because they had them in 2007. Steve

Please don't double post.

I have deleted your duplicate thread and moved this one to the correct section as this was the one that had replies.

Brad, sorry to say I have not had the opportunity to pass through Abu Dhabi, but Bahrain airport has a nice display of Breitlings and they offer a 20% discount right off the top without any haggling involved. As opposed to the AD in the Dubai International Airport that says they do not offer any discount. The other 3 AD's in Dubai are located at Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Center, and Mirdif City Center. I've been to the one in Mall of the Emirates and they have a very large selection available....plus the mall itself is worth the visit with the ski slope and aquarium to check out. There are also a number of other brand AD's right next to the Breitling AD in the Mall of the Emirates so you can really spend some time checking out many other brands in the metal as well.

I will be heading for Thailand at the end of February myself, going to be in Phuket, Patong for 2 weeks. I am taking my daughter there for a college graduation present and doing the last phase of my dental implants & crowns too. I plan on taking a couple of my "Dive Boyz" for a swim when we go diving there just to break them in and give them an opportunity to strike a pose for an underwater wrist shot...LOL. Too bad I didn't think about that this last time I went or else I could of gotten some action shots of my Colt doing his underwater thing.

You might check out Breitlings website too and see if there are any AD's located there, it might be with the exchange rate you will save a substantial amount on a new Ling.

There are at least two place in the Bangkok airport that sell Breitlings duty free. However, I have never found them to be much of a deal and the selection is slim. They will give you a discount but even after that the prices in asia are very high for luxury items.
