I have the Navitimer B01 on order. My wife feels, though the watch is too similar to my Bentley Motors T since they both have black dials, polishes indices, the applied logo on top, the three subdials and the the silver inner bezel. The Motor T is much bigger though and a beefier looking piece. Besides the black dial, they're completely different watches.

What are your opinions?

Similar color schemes, very different pieces.

i guess to the average person there are similarities between the dial face. but i think that when you look at it you see 2 different watches. as already noted there is a considerable size difference amongst other things. do you want to keep both or do you feel that one will lack wrist time?

Initially I thought I'd sell the Motors T, but every time I pick it up I can't get over how beautiful the watch is. The details and the quality of the watch are amazing. For now I'm going to keep it.

The only similarity I see is that they both have black dials, but I'm sure that my wife would say that my BB is too similar to the Navi 01 so I get what you're saying. Get the Navi and keep them both.

They complement each other; they don't duplicate each other. They're variations on a theme, if you will. If you like that theme, they're sufficiently different that you can have and enjoy both of them.

To a WIS like me (and just about everyone else here) they are completely different! If one of them didn't have a black dial, I'd bet your wife wouldn't say they are similar at all.

Most non-WIS folk (including my long suffering girlfriend) seem to to be able to recognise the difference between analogue and digital watches, the Rolex logo......... and that's about it!

My opinion - keep both (unless it'll cause you to get divorced!)

Yeah, I think if you look beyond the dial they are totally different, bit like the following picture, although similar at first glance, they are totally different beasts.......................

My "non-WIS" wife saw this picture, Stef. She says your watches are "identical"

My wife thought your comment about the different color dials was funny. She's starting to learn about watches since I won't shut up about them. Speaking of Rolex, I bought her a white dial milgauss last Christmas. It looks huge on her 5 inch wrist but she loves it.

As far as the divorce is concerned, she's the one encouraging me to buy the watches I want and talks me through the buyers remorse I usually have after a purchase. I guess most guys would be happy to by in my position.

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'm gonna keep both for now.

I think a lot of it may come down to how much a person likes the basic design of the watch. If someone really likes that busy, Navi-style dial layout, it would make sense they'd want more than one version of it. Honestly, I'm not so enamored of that that I would want more than one like it, if that; to that end, those two watches are similar enough that I wouldn't want both, even though I don't see them as identical. But if I like a particular design type, I don't mind having multiple versions of it. For instance, I'm looking for a watch to complement my black-dial Omega Seamaster, and I'm considering a Cockpit, a Planet Ocean, a Submariner, and a Seatimer, all in black dials. If I could afford it, I would get all of them, and not think any one was too similar to the others to warrant purchasing, whereas others would no doubt see them collectively as horribly monotonous. So, as with many things, it comes down to personal preference.

My wife is not a complete non WIS, but she did think that the Navitimer B01 was similar to several pieces that I have. However, when she saw it she did comment on how different the dial looked in the metal, even compared to other tricompax Navitimers.

Completely different! Bottom line, don't listen to women.... my fiance thinks "all white cars look the same" lol
Navi B01 WINS by a mile! Never was a fan of the T.
