Hi, guys. I've been thinking about buying a new everyday »beater« watch. The Steelfish is one of the finalists, so I'd like to ask you guys for your input. In my signature, you can see which watches I already own, so I'm interested to know, how large or small the Steelfish will wear compared to them. I realize of course, that next to the SA, everything seems small, so I'm most interested to know about how it compares to the Chronomat 01 (it was still called the B01 when I bought it ![]() The case of the Chronomat is actually 0.5 mm smaller at 43.5mm so I expect I should be fine, since I don't find it to be too small. If anyone has a picture of the two watches side by side or even wristshots of both, I'd be very appreciative. ![]() I've only seen the SF live once and can't really remember it to be honest. ![]() The combo I would go for is black dial on Pro II bracelet (yep, I love the Breitling bracelets ![]() Regards, David ![]() |

I have both, the B01 and the SOSF X, well I just sold the SOSF. The Steelfish is and wears smaller. Here are the only wrist shots I have. I just put the steel bracelet back on the B01. I felt the leather strap looks to small on the B01. Go for the SOSF you will love it! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Great pics and thanks for your input! ![]() It's interesting what you said, as I also have a hunch that the SF might wear smaller than the B01. |

Overall diameter seems to feel the same, but I think its the lug design that makes the difference. The SF has those nice short, curved lugs and the Chronomat case has those long, straight lugs. Chronomat also has those rounded edges on the case sides, so it doesnt seem to hug the wrist as much as it sort of sits on top of it. |

Depends on your wrist size I would think. I'm roughly 7.3" and prefer a 42mm as a daily beater. 44mm is what I like the best size wise as far as aesthetics go. When I wear my Colt after a day of my Evo, it's like the Colt is not even there. It's a HUGE 2mm. |

Talking about 42mm... I've also been looking for wristshots of the new Superocean II on the Pro II bracelet.... If anyone has any, please share, and I'd be interested to know, how large the SO II wears in comparison to the SF or just in general.... Many thanks again. |

It wears small for a 42mm as it's a dark bezel. The colored versions wear a tad smaller than the all black. Good sport watch, will likely go that way shortly. There is one for sale on these forums, you can see many shots there. |

Would love to see it beside some other Lings too, though. |

I don't own the SOII or the Fish, but I've tried them on and I thought that the Fish felt great, different than the Blackbird, but not really smaller, just...well different. The SOII felt really small to me, I'm not too sure why, but I liked the Fish a lot better. |

Actually, the Steelfish is a bit larger than the B01 - 44 mm to 43.5 mm. But it does wear smaller IMO ![]() |
