Hello all, I am new to the forum and to the site... I am currently in the market for a breitling and im stuck between too...at first i was all about the Black dial with batons SA.. but after seeing a few of your pictures of the white dial world i'm having second thoughts..the white world is gorgeous. My biggest problem is im located in south louisiana and i am unable to find a breitling AD anywhere within 2 hours of my house... New Orleans doesnt even have one anymore... so im not sure whether i should buy on the grey market or not.. but i really would like to put both on my wrists before i make a purchase.. I'm 6'5 and love large watches.. I've put on the SA in vegas a couple of months ago and loved it.. whats the comparisons to the Navi world? which do you guys prefer? thanks for your opinions! |

A couple of conciderations: At 6'5", the SA will fit you great. The Navi World is going to wear smaller because of the thickness of the watch. The SA isw water tight. The world isn't. The World will slip under the sleeve of a dress shirt pretty easily, the SA... not as easily. For me, the SA is very sporty and on a Croco couldn't be somewhat dressy. The Navi is very classy and on a Croco strap is VERY dressy. I would wait until you can try BOTH on at a Authorized Dealer, before an decisions. On your wrist, the watches are very different than in the pictures. You will know after seeing them on your wrist, which one is for you. Oh and as a disclaimer: This WON'T be the last watch you buy. It's an addiction that has no cure. ![]() |

As above, they're very different watches in terms of both appearance and function. The SA is miles sportier and can be worn without worry about water, whereas the World is dressier and needs a little more 'minding'. What do you want to wear the watch for-- everyday wear, dress, sport? What sort of activities do you intend using it for? I don't think I would be willing to purchase without trying them on-- why don't you plan a weekend away with friends or your girlfriend to somewhere there are a selection of ADs as well as some other activities you might like, and make an event of it? Alternatively, maybe you could find a grey market dealer who would be willing to offer a deal where you can return and only pay shipping costs if not satisfied with the watch after you buy? I'm not sure about the US, but in Europe there's some sort of law which protects people from online purchases where you can return the item within a week if it isn't what you wanted/expected... Good luck with your decision! |

Def try both on if you can and as someone said this wont be your last. Buy one of them and have a goal of getting the other one when you can. I just got my Navi World with Silver (what you called white) 10 days ago with a brown croc strap, beautiful, and I'm already at the AD plotting my next one in about a year, it's addicting. |

As everyone else said, you need to try them both on. They are two completely different watches, the only similarity between the two is that they're both Breitlings. If you're more of a casual type person, jeans and stuff then the SA would be a great choice. If you want something a little classier than the World is about as good as it gets. Personally I like the World, but I'm about 9 inches shorter than you, so the SA looks silly on me. Good luck. |

Thanks guys for all the feedback.. I think I'm going with the SA for my first breitling simply because I've been in love with it for a long time... But as you all said i know this won't be my last watch. I'll soon be looking to get the Navi world on croc strap for the dressier occasions where I have to wear suits and what not.. but this watch will mainly be used for just weekends. Going out with friends and girlfriend on very casual occasions. Therefor i think the Super avenger will probably suit me best.. and I am around water all the time, i live next to the Gulf.. so the SA is the more logical choice.. |

NOW YOU JUST NEED TO DECIDE, FACE COLOR, SUBS, BATONS, NUMBERS, LEATHER, CROC, DEPLOY OR TANG, BRACELET ETC.... |

The blue dial tones it down a bit as opposed to a white. It initially looks really big but after wearing it for a while it just looks normal. It does get noticed because it's a gorgeous watch and it's big on anyone (that's the point), not matter how big they are. Just cause you're of a shorter stature doesn't mean you cant wear a big watch. |

My point was that anyone who puts it on unless you're an NFL lineman or something, is going to think it's just a little silly because up until that point you aren't used to such a big watch. |

I get what you're saying, but I think my problem is that I just don't really like overly large watches. 45mm is about as large as I like, maybe 46mm, but that's pushing it for me. Personally I think between 42mm-44mm is perfect on me. Back on topic, congrats on the SA, up next: The World ![]() |

How would you be wearing the watch? I WAS in this exact same predicament a few months back. However I went with the World due to my life style and it being my second B. I have a Chronomat Evolution for my everyday watch which is also good in the water do to it's WR. The World on the other hand will be my work and non-rugged wearer(if that makes sense) The SA still feels much larger on the wrist though! Both great just depends on your lifestyle and how you will be wearing it! ![]() |
