Hello,

I am normally a rolex guy however I have just picked up an automatic Breitling Chrono Shark http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... ne_86.html, I am very pleased with the quality opposed to a navitimer I had a while back...

could anyone tell me more about the watch? I have not found too many others for sale... I picked this one up for cheap no box no papers on old style bracelet if I decide to get rid of it I should definitely be able get my money back correct? I saw one on ebay for about 1800...

Regards

Don't have too much info on the automatic version (I have the quartz one) but it was produced around 1992-95. It uses the same movement as the Chronomat and Navitimer but was bigger than both. It was marketed as a dive watch.

eBay and Chrono24 are always the best places to keep an eye on current asking prices.

Thanks, yeah I dont know, I had a Navitimer a while ago from around 2003, the hands were pretty bad and the movement was not too exciting... engravings were painted yellow instead of being filled with yellow gold...

this chrono shark I have has some very nice blued hands on the subdials I have not taken a look at the movement but it sounds good :p

Here are some pictures, Id like to know more about the bracelet, I am not interested in it as I have the watch on a zulu strap... how much is the bracelet worth in rather good condition?

Thanks

The problem with older bracelets is that there is a very limited market for them. Find a buyer who needs that one for their watch and they may pay $400, on the other hand it may sit unsold on the forum for weeks at $200 - it's dependent on finding a buyer that likes the rouleaux and needs that size.

$200-$400 depending on size, condition, and whether all the links are present.

Love the watch, I haven't seen one of those before. It looks great on the Zulu also, but that bracelet does absolutely nothing for me.

I was thinking of selling the bracelet and then putting it towards a $350 DLC job, make the watch black... and keeping it on a nato or zulu strap...

also is there anyway I could find replacement crystal, this one has some small scratches and a tiny dent... Id be interested in changing it later on..

Thanks

Only through Breitling, they can replace it during the service process and should be able to replace with a sapphire crystal that won't scratch.
