Just wondering- I tend to wear my Breitling (yep I only have one!!) at the weekend due to working in an environment which is not watch friendly. So every weekend my watch has stopped and as a result I just wind it, reset date and time and I'm away.... BUT I'm forever worried I'll cross thread the crown. What I'm wondering is- how easy/ difficult is it to cross thread the crown? Also, any tips to lessen the risk? I just apply small bit of even pressure and screw it in....but generally it feels kind of tough going in- in other words, there is a level of resistance!! Obviously there has to be some resistance but I don't know how much!! |

As long as you are careful to push the crown in evenly and turn it gently there shouldn't be too much problem. If you feel too much resistance then just let go, wind it anti-clockwise and try again. Cross threading can obviously happen, but it's not that common. |

I have mentioned this before and I know a lot of the users do this. When you are about to tighten the crown, puch it in and turn couterclockwise lightly until you feel the the threads line up. then slowly turn clockwise to tighten it and you will catch the thread perfect, with out issue. Hope that makes sense and helps. |
